Propelr Pty Ltd (ACN 698 157 970), ("Propelr", "we", "us", "our").
1. Introduction
At Propelr, we believe your brand and your data belong to you. Propelr is a digital marketing platform built for real estate agencies, franchise groups and developers. We help our customers automate advertising across Meta and Google, connect campaign activity to real enquiries, and use AI to improve campaign performance.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how we handle automated and AI-based processing, and the choices you have. It should be read together with our Terms of Service. By using Propelr, you agree to the practices described here.
This policy is provided in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Where we handle personal data of individuals located in the European Union or United Kingdom, additional rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR may apply (see section 12).
2. The information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you use Propelr and which services you connect to.
Account information
When you create an account we may collect your name, email address, phone number, company name and account credentials.
Connected third-party services
If you connect third-party services, we may receive information from them that is necessary to operate Propelr. For example, if you connect a Facebook Page or advertising account, we may access the permissions and account information required to create and manage advertising campaigns on your behalf. If you connect Google Ads, we may access campaign and account information required to provide our services.
Real estate and campaign information
Propelr is designed specifically for real estate businesses, so we also process information about properties and campaigns. This may include property descriptions, photographs, pricing information, listing status, campaign budgets, lead attribution data and information received through CRM or listing integrations.
Lead and enquiry data (personal data of third parties)
In the course of running campaigns for our customers, we process personal information about property enquirers and leads (such as name, email, phone number and enquiry details). For this information our customer is responsible for having a lawful basis and any required consent to collect it and provide it to us, and we process it on the customer's behalf and on their instructions (see section 11).
Technical information
Like most online services, we automatically collect technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, device information, log files, cookies and similar technologies, and usage analytics to help us operate, secure and improve the platform. See our Cookies notice in section 13.
3. How Propelr uses your information
We use the information we collect to provide and improve Propelr. This includes creating and managing advertising campaigns, generating marketing creatives, producing AI-generated videos from property images, providing campaign reporting, and helping our customers understand which campaigns, audiences and creative assets are performing best.
We also use information to maintain the security of the platform, detect fraudulent or unauthorised activity, troubleshoot technical issues and comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. AI-powered and automated features
Propelr includes AI-powered features designed to help real estate businesses market properties more effectively. Depending on the products you use, AI may be used to recommend audiences, optimise campaign settings, generate advertising content, produce videos from property images, or summarise campaign results in plain English.
To provide these features, property details, images and campaign information may be processed by Propelr or trusted third-party technology providers acting on our behalf. We do not use your information to train public AI models unless we clearly tell you and obtain any required permissions.
Some features use automation to make or support decisions (for example, audience or budget suggestions). These are tools to assist your business judgement, not a substitute for it; you remain in control of what is published and can contact us about any automated processing that significantly affects you.
5. Connected platforms
Propelr integrates with third-party platforms including Meta, Google Ads, CRM systems and property software providers. When you connect these services, you authorise Propelr to access the information and permissions required to provide the features you choose to use.
Where we access data through the Meta and Google platforms, we only use it as described in this policy and in accordance with those platforms' terms (including the Meta Platform Terms and, where applicable, the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements). You can remove Propelr's access to connected platforms at any time through the settings of those services; removing access may limit or disable some Propelr features. Your use of third-party services remains subject to their own privacy policies and terms.
6. Sharing information
We share information only where it is necessary to provide our services or where we are legally required to do so. For example, we may share information with:
- Meta and Google, to create and manage advertising campaigns;
- CRM and listing software providers that you choose to connect;
- cloud hosting and infrastructure providers;
- AI and analytics technology providers that help us operate Propelr; and
- government authorities or regulators where required by law.
We do not sell customer data or personal information to third parties.
7. Sub-processors
We use a limited set of trusted service providers (sub-processors) to operate Propelr, including cloud hosting and infrastructure, AI/automation technology providers, the Meta and Google advertising platforms, and analytics providers. We require them to protect information consistently with this policy. A current list of sub-processor categories is available on request at [hello@propelr.digital].
8. Security
We take reasonable technical, organisational and administrative steps to protect the information we hold from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or misuse. No online platform can guarantee absolute security, but protecting customer data is an important part of how we build and operate Propelr.
If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will assess and respond in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act, including notifying affected individuals and the OAIC where required.
9. How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as is reasonably necessary to provide Propelr and operate our business. If you stop using Propelr or close your account, we will generally delete or anonymise your information within a reasonable period. We may retain certain records where required by law or where necessary to protect our business, investigate fraud, resolve disputes, or maintain backup and security systems.
10. Requesting access or deletion
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information or connected-platform data at any time by contacting hello@propelr.digital. We may ask for enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. Once verified, we will action your request within a reasonable period unless we are required or permitted to retain certain information for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backups or other legitimate business purposes.
If you have connected a Facebook account or Page, you can also remove Propelr's access directly through your Facebook settings. If you are an enquirer/lead and wish to exercise rights over your data, please contact the agency you enquired with (our customer), who controls that data; we will assist them as their processor.
11. Roles - controller and processor
For account and platform-operation data, Propelr acts as a data controller. For lead and enquiry data that our customers collect and process through campaigns, the customer is the controller and Propelr acts as a processor, handling that data on the customer's documented instructions. Our processing terms are set out in our Data Processing Agreement, available to customers on request.
12. International transfers and overseas users
Some of the providers we use may store or process information outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected and handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including using appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
If you are located in the EU or UK, you may have additional rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact hello@propelr.digital.
13. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand usage. Some are essential; others (such as analytics) are optional. Where required by law, we will seek your consent for non-essential cookies, and you can manage your preferences through your browser or our cookie controls.
14. Children
Propelr is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Propelr evolves or as legal requirements change. If we make material changes, we will publish the updated policy and update the "Last updated" date above.
